Description Gwyn Barrett, born in Lerryn 13 September 1907, moved to Tywardreath in 1986 and his recollections of Lerryn during his time there were compiled in 1991. He ranges broadly over commerce; the corn mill; the saw mill; tradesmen; mail and telephone; doctors; the Methodist Chapel; the Parish Church; the regatta, fete, maypole, and other entertainments; the school; the Institute, later Memorial Hall; street lighting; the lime kilns; land owners , dwellings and rents; and changes that occurred over his time there; the Giants Hedge.
